We hired Dan to refinish our kitchen cupboards almost a year ago. It turned out to be a real nightmare. Lighting is a key factor in noticing a smooth uniform finish. When they brought my cabinet doors back I could see many drip streaks and very uneven coating. If this happens, they HAND PAINT the touch ups. In our case, they hand painted it with the color they had on hand. What??????? They didn't have the right color but were so far away from their shop that they used the closest shade they had. Here is what I discovered... *They travel from state to state so if they need to come back for touch ups, you may be waiting a long time. When they do come back, you better be available at a moments notice. *Dan appears to be the one who knows what he is doing but allows Angela to work on the cupboards as well - not a good thing. *Angela is one of those people that has an excuse for EVERYTHING. When they said they were coming back, they didn't show up TWICE. Once because Dan's brother had car trouble in a different state and once because his niece needed an intervention. OMG, the excuses. Then, when they did come back to town randomly, I was expected to be available. We were out of town and she tells me that I am being difficult with scheduling??? Again, we try to schedule. I say she should come during daylight hours because she needs to see all the spots, she agrees. The next day she has to cancel because the wind is too strong and she doesn't feel comfortable driving their truck up the mountain by herself -but if I could wait until 5:00 she could come with someone else. That is not daylight hours! Super unprofessional. I have all the texts and emails to support this. *After they "finish" the job, expect your emails and calls to be ignored for long periods of time if you need them to actually fix something. * the cupboards still don't look great. Maybe upon first glance they are but if you live with them daily, you can see all the messed up spots. *Dan should be the one to deal with customers, not his wife Angela. She is unprofessional, full of excuses and rude. *they are cheaper than replacing or refacing but you get what you pay for in this case. I would not recommend them ever to anyone.
